A little about Sra. Bartlett
Welcome to Spanish class! I'm so happy that you're taking this journey with me at Ligon Middle School this year. This is my sixth year at Ligon, my seventh year as a teacher, and I am so excited that I get to teach you. You are at the best school in North Carolina! I am a North Carolina State University graduate and have been abroad to three Spanish speaking countries. I have been fortunate enough to live and study in Cuzco, Lima, and Nazca Peru in 2008 for a summer and also in Cuernavaca, Mexico. I traveled to many places in Mexico while I was there (Toluca, Tepótzlan, D.F., Guanajuato, and Taxco). I have taken students to Costa Rica in 2015 and Sra. Hinson took students on a trip to Cuba in 2016! We will be having a meeting for interest in traveling to Mexico for the spring of 2020. I have been married for 6 years to a great man named Thomas Bartlett! He is an NCSU graduate and currently is working as a civil engineer. We have a sweet and energetic one year old named James and have recently added another perfect bundle of joy to our family. Robert Bartlett who is currently almost 4 months old! Paola has also joined our family this August. She is an au pair from Colombia and she helps us out with the kiddos during the day. She is AMAZING!!! We have a dog named Missy (short for Mischief), who is a Corgi and German Shepherd mix. I love to read, travel, watch movies, cook, and try new things. I also love children which is the main reason why I am a teacher.
