A little about sra. Bartlett
Welcome to Spanish class! I'm so happy that you're taking this journey with me at Ligon Middle School this year. This is my fourth year at Ligon, my fifth year as a teacher, and I am so excited that I get to teach you. You are at the best school in North Carolina! I am a North Carolina State University graduate and have been abroad to three Spanish speaking countries. I have been fortunate enough to live and study in Cuzco, Lima, and Nazca Peru in 2008 for a summer and also in Cuernavaca, Mexico last summer. I traveled to many places in Mexico while I was there (Toluca, Tepótzlan, D.F., Guanajuato, and Taxco). My colleague, Sra. Hinson, just got back from taking our students to Cuba this summer!!! I have taken students to Costa Rica in 2015 and we are planning a trip to Spain for Summer 2017! I have been married for 4 years to a great man named Thomas Bartlett! He is an NCSU graduate and currently is working as a civil engineer. We have a dog named Missy (short for Mischief), who is a Corgi and German Shepherd mix. I love to read, travel, watch movies, cook, and try new things. I also love children which is the main reason why I am a teacher.
My dog Missy (Mischeif).
My afitriona (host mom) in Cuernavaca, Mexico. These are tamales that she and I made.
My Ligon family in Costa Rica right before zip lining!
